TourHistorical Tour of Salvador

Depart to explore some of the most important landmarks in Salvador's history, including some of its first streets, squares, and churches. The tour begins at the Barra Lighthouse and heads toward the Upper City, passing through the Corredor da Vitória, Campo Grande, and Piedade. We continue through the city center, passing the apotheosis of Salvador's traditional Carnival circuit, until we reach the highlight of this itinerary, Pelourinho, an important cultural center of Salvador and also one of the most important surviving architectural complexes from the 17th and 18th centuries. From the Lacerda Elevator observation deck, you can admire the Upper City, the Lower City, and the diverse perspectives offered by the variety of views offered by the streets and houses of Pelourinho. From each location, you have a different and surprising aesthetic view. Also noteworthy is the beauty of the churches, such as those of São Francisco de Assis, Catedral Basílica, and Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos. The tour ends at Largo do Pelourinho, with the possibility of visiting the Fundação Casa de Jorge Amado. Return to the hotel.
