This incredible tour offers unforgettable views of Foz do Iguaçu's immense waterfalls. Once inside the park, the van or bus will travel until you reach the trails and walkways facing the falls. We'll walk for 40 minutes to an hour along the trails and walkways facing the falls on the Brazilian side and with panoramic views on the Argentine side.
The adventure begins at the entrance to Macuco Safari, located 25 km from the Cataratas Highway, within Iguaçu National Park. Board open-top wagons towed by jeeps, offering unobstructed views of the landscape along the trail. During the three-kilometer journey through the jungle, multilingual guides point out examples of the park's flora and fauna.
Orchids, palm trees, bromeliads, ancient trees and even wild animals that occasionally cross the trail are pointed out by the guides.
The hike is the second leg of our journey. A 600-meter stretch of trail leads to a waterfall called 'Cachoeira do Macuco' (optional). The waterfall—perfect for cooling off on hot days—drops from a height of approximately 20 meters. Access is via a staircase carved into the ancient rock. Descend in an open-air jeep to reach the final stop, the Macuco Safari pier on the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu River.
On the water, inflatable boats with twin engines await us. They are built to withstand the rigors of the excursion, as well as being safe and efficient vessels. Before boarding, passengers receive life jackets and plastic containers to protect their photography and film equipment. The boat travels upriver, passing through the gorge and facing the rapids, at a speed that allows for breathtaking views.
Rocks, animals and lots of greenery complete the scenery until you reach the base of the falls, next to the 'great horseshoe' known as the 'Devil's Throat'.
Enjoy a waterfall shower.
Rainbows, blue skies, mist, and abundant water punctuate the spectacle, the highlight of which is the 'Three Musketeers.' Here, the captain maneuvers the boat close enough to give passengers a quick, refreshing shower. Since everyone usually ends up wet at the end of the fun, passengers more sensitive to the cold should bring extra clothes for after the boat ride.
