The tour of the Uros and Taquile Islands is done through a circuit with walks through very peaceful places in the middle of Lake Titicaca.
Taquile is located 45 kilometers from the city of Puno and has approximately 2,200 inhabitants who wear their colorful traditional costumes. It is currently considered “the fourth most beautiful island in the world in terms of lakes”, its beautiful landscapes and culture make it a destination that every tourist should visit at least once in their life.
Starting at 7:00 a.m., our team will contact you at your hotel to go to the port of Puno and board the speedboat to the Uros Floating Islands, where we will visit two of them. Our guide will give us a detailed explanation of the main activities, customs and buildings on the islands.
Next we will head towards Taquile Island. We will start with a climb to see the beautiful landscape that the Sacred Lake offers us, we will be able to feel calm, explore the area and enjoy the impressive view of Lake Titicaca.
We will have a typical lunch from the region. After lunch, the local family will demonstrate their customs and traditions, such as the beautiful and fine fabrics made by the inhabitants of the island. Then, we will return to the port to board the boat that will take us back to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 4:30 pm.
