Located meters from the wonderful Iguaçu Falls, in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, Parque das Aves is the only institution in the world dedicated to the conservation of Atlantic Forest birds, offering a magical experience of close and enchanting contact with them.

A place like no other, it is the largest avian park in all of Latin America, with more than 1,500 birds of 150 different species in a space of 16.5 hectares.

The tour begins with a small bridge over an artificial lake teeming with fish and occupied by more than 100 flamingos and a small parakeet habitat, giving way to the first themed sector, the Forest Nursery, which represents Iguaçu National Park.

Free-roaming turkeys and pheasants give way, further on, to the Viveiros do Pantanal sector, which represents the largest floodplain in the world, where macaws, herons, toucans, chuñas and other species are on display.

The reptile den houses pythons, iguanas, alligators, and even an anaconda, which is shown behind thick glass.

We then arrived at the Harpia Refuge, the most powerful bird of prey in the world, with a majestic posture, unparalleled strength and in serious danger of extinction.

After passing groups of vultures and rheas, you arrive at the Grus Paradise, the Yellow Macaw Paradise, and the park's most famous space, the Macaw Aviary, populated by several species of these birds and parrots.
