- Private Tour to San Ignacio Ruins + Wanda Mines
Delve into the ruins of San Ignacio and discover the heritage of Misiones on this tour, which also allows you to explore the remains of the Wanda mine, full of semi-precious stones.
A full-day tour that will explore much of the province of Misiones. Our destination is the San Ignacio Miní Ruins, and along the way, we'll visit the Wanda Gemstone Mines, a deposit of semi-precious stones, including quartz crystals, amethysts, agates, and topaz, among the most important.
The path always has an environment of a varied range of greens, reds and other colors that will constantly be part of our landscape.
The tour includes a stop for lunch and relaxation, as with all our tours, time is available to the groups themselves, with no rush or time for contemplation.
San Ignacio Ruins: Founded in 1632 by the Jesuits in the Americas during the Spanish colonial period, you'll travel approximately 250 km to reach the Jesuit Ruins of San Ignacio, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Built in what could be called "Guarani Baroque" style, they are considered the most spectacular example of the 30 missions built by the Jesuits in a territory that currently spans Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
The tour includes a visit to one of the oldest Jesuit buildings in the region, where you can admire the architecture of its carved stone buildings, with Baroque sculptural details, interpreted and developed by indigenous artists of the time. Along the way, there is an educational animation system, with sound and light, producing a beautiful spectacle.
