- Private Tour to the Argentine Falls
On the Argentine side, you can literally walk over the falls themselves.
The route is approximately 10 km long, with the use of the Ecological Train shortening the distances in some sections, and the air-conditioned walkways allow you to reach the best waterfalls, dividing the route into Garganta do Diabo, Upper Circuit and Lower Circuit.
The Falls are located within the National Park of the same name, about 20 kilometers from the city of Puerto Iguazú, in the north of the province of Misiones, Argentina.
The river that forms them, also called Iguaçu, originates in the state of Paraná, Brazil, and after traveling about 1,200 kilometers through a plateau, absorbing the flow of the tributaries it encounters along its path, it reaches a point where a geological fault forms a crack in the plain, coinciding with the passage of a river that had been running through a calm geography, without many surprises, which gradually encounters a series of jumps in its flow.
And suddenly, some 80 meters of drop transform into a violent sensation of vertigo: the Devil's Throat, the main waterfall of the Falls, joins with a constant and deafening roar that plunges into the depths and then flows gently a few kilometers into the Paraná River.
In the Guarani language, the term Iguaçu means Great Waters. They were discovered by European explorers in 1541, led by the pioneer Álvaro Núñez Cabeza de Vaca. In 1984, UNESCO declared them a World Heritage Site, and in 2011, an international competition named Iguaçu Falls one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.
One of the many legends tells the story of a giant snake, "Boi," who lived in the river. To appease its ferocity, the Aborigines sacrificed a woman once a year, throwing her into the waters as an offering to the beast.
On one such occasion, a brave Guarani man kidnapped the chosen maiden to save her from the traditional rite, fleeing with her in a canoe downriver. Upon learning of this audacity, Boi became enraged and arched his back, dividing the river, creating the waterfalls, and separating the two indigenous people.

If you have food in your backpack, don't take it to places where coatis might be found. These cute-looking, but not very friendly, little animals are likely to be found. They've become accustomed to the food you give them and now seek it out, and sometimes, if they don't receive it, they can become aggressive. So, let's respect the park rules and not feed them.
Places to eat inside the Park are your choice.
The vehicles used have between 10 and 48 seats, depending on the number of passengers in each group. They are equipped with air conditioning, heating, and USB ports.
Strollers are available for rent at the park entrance. For children up to 3 years old only.
Book in advance to ensure availability.
If the day is sunny, it's best to start early with the Devil's Throat Circuit and then the Upper Circuit, or vice versa. Alternatively, at midday, when the sun is at its highest, you can stop for lunch and then continue the tour with the Lower Circuit.
