A tour through an imposing canyon, where you will have the unique opportunity to visit not only the Hill of 7 Colors, but also the majestic Hill of 14 Colors in the same day! We'll travel to the majestic 14-color mountain, also known as Serranías del Hornocal. This excursion will allow us to appreciate the most impressive colors of Northern Argentina, its culture, its unique people, and its people. We will leave the city of Salta, exiting through the city's central access via National Highway 9 and then entering the municipality of General Güemes via National Highway 34. We will then enter the sister province of Jujuy, where we will have the opportunity to visit the great Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its imposing landscapes and picturesque villages such as Volcán, Purmamarca, where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores; Tilcara; Humahuaca, the largest city in the canyon; Uquía, a small town home to the 17th-century church of San Francisco de Paula, home to the ancient paintings of the Arquebuceros Angels, brought from Cuzco, Peru, painted during the colonial era; Huacalera, where we will step into the imaginary cut of the Tropic of Capricorn; and finally, La Paleta del Pintor in Maimará. Instead of visiting the town of Humahuaca as on the regular tour, we'll head to the Hornocal Mountains. In this case, we recommend bringing your own picnic lunch for your return. We'll meet back up with the group to begin the return journey, alternating stops. During the tour there are stops to walk and take photos!
