Transfer from El Calafate Bus Station to El Chaltén Bus Station.
We will follow the legendary Route 40 along Lake Argentino and head towards the city of El Chaltén, 220 km from El Calafate.
Along the way, we'll cross the Santa Cruz River and make a brief stop at Estancia La Leona, on the banks of the river of the same name. There will be a bathroom break, and you'll also have the opportunity to enjoy homemade pies and hot drinks (not included).
We will then continue our journey towards El Chaltén, skirting Lake Viedma and its namesake glacier.
Weather permitting, along the way we will have stunning views of Mount Chaltén (also known as Fitz Roy) and Mount Torre, as well as the Viedma Glacier with its impressive ice blocks.
We will arrive at the mountain village of El Chaltén after approximately 3 hours of travel.
