ITINERARY
This is the beginning of our tour. You will be picked up from your accommodation in Cape Town between 8:00 and 9:00 am for this tour. The exact time will be communicated to you the day before the tour. Cape Town is known for Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Cape of Good Hope, seals, wine tasting, and romantic honeymoons.
We'll stop at Bo-Kaap, formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter, where visitors can take a memorable photo with the colorful houses in the background. Your guide will talk about these historic homes and the heritage of the people who live in them. Many of these families are originally from Indonesia and Malaysia. Bo-Kaap is known for its colorful houses, Cape Malay cooking classes, street art galleries, and spices.
We'll stop at Table Mountain, where we'll explore one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Upon arrival at the cable car station, we'll take the cable car to the top of the mountain. In case of inclement weather, we'll skip Table Mountain and leave it for the last stop of the day. Your tour guide will accompany you to the top of the mountain for a guided tour. Please note that this attraction is subject to weather conditions. Table Mountain cable car tickets are not included in the tour price. We recommend that guests purchase their own Table Mountain tickets online to avoid delays at the entrance. This will avoid the ticketing queue, but there is still a queue during peak periods for the cable car rides up and down the mountain. Table Mountain is famous for its cable car rides, hiking, views of Cape Town from the top, and its flat mountain.
Once we've finished Table Mountain, we'll take a drive along the Atlantic coast, between mountains and ocean, passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton, and Camp's Bay.
After we finish Table Mountain, we'll drive along the Atlantic coast, between mountains and ocean, passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton, and Camp's Bay. We'll stop at Maiden's Cove for a photo. This is one of the most picturesque shots you'll capture on this tour. With views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range on one side and the white sand and blue ocean of pristine Camp's Bay beach on the other, this scene is sure to be your Instagram caption of the day, with its beautiful mountain and ocean views. Camps Bay is known for its beaches, bars, and restaurants.
Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the most scenic tourist routes in the world. We stopped at Chapman's Peak viewpoint, where travelers will be awed by the spectacular view of mountain ranges and endless expanses of ocean, as waves crash against the rocks and white sand shores. It's one of the most rewarding scenic drives in the country, if not the world. The road hugs the nearly vertical face of the mountain, connecting Hout Bay to the suburb of Noordhoek. It has 114 curves of no more than 1,200 kilometers and is 593 meters above sea level. Tourists and locals alike often stop at the viewpoints along the way, the most popular for strolling and taking the best photos of any Cape Town trip.
At this point, we'll make a brief stop at the Just Nuisance memorial in Simon's Town. The guide will share the fascinating story of Just Nuisance, who made his name in the South African Navy. The South African Naval Base is also located in Simon's Town.
Boulder's Beach is located in Simon's Town, known as one of Cape Town's best beaches. The warm waters of False Bay make it ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The highlight of Boulder's Beach is, of course, the charming colony of African penguins. Visit these friendly penguins in their natural habitat and encounter some along the boardwalk, which love to take photos with visitors... The best place to see African penguins and the pebble beach.
The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is the highlight of the day. A visit to Cape Town isn't complete without a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope sign. Your tour guide will share the history of the two lighthouses, known as the Bartolomeu Dias Lighthouse and the Vasco Da Game Lighthouse. The Cape of Good Hope is the most southwestern point of the African continent, with two currents: the warm Agulhas and the cold Benguela.
During this time of year, most travelers opt for a short hike from the Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point Lighthouse. However, if you're not comfortable with the short hike or are not in good health, your guide will take you to the Flying Dutchman funicular, which will take you to Cape Point Lighthouse (excluded from the tour price). Cape Point is the official meeting point of the two ocean currents: the cold Benguela and the warm Agulhus. Cape Point is famous for the Flying Dutchman funicular, the old lighthouse, and the best viewpoint at Cape Point.
The last stop of the day on this tour will be St. James's Beach in Muizenberg, where visitors can see the colorful beach huts and take some photos. These huts are used as changing rooms for swimmers, and your guide will share the history of the beach huts with you. The beach is famous as a surfing hotspot in Cape Town and is also home to a surfing community, swimming pools, and colorful wooden huts.
We conclude our guided tour of the day here, with a drop-off at your address or hotel in Cape Town. Cape Town is famous for Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Cape of Good Hope, wine tasting, and a great honeymoon destination.
