We'll take advantage of this full-day tour to discover the typical products of Emilia-Romagna—one of Italy's most celebrated gastronomic regions. Throughout the experience, we'll visit local producers and have the chance to taste some of Italy's most iconic delicacies.
We'll begin with a visit to a traditional Parmigiano-Reggiano factory, where we'll learn how this famous cheese is produced, following artisanal methods that have been passed down through generations. At the end of the tour, we'll taste three different maturations of Parmigiano-Reggiano, accompanied by local red wine and other typical regional products.
Next, we'll head to a Parma Ham (Prosciutto di Parma) factory. During the tour, we'll hear a brief introduction to the history of this delicacy and learn about the so-called "cold phase," where the fresh meat is prepared and cured. We'll have the opportunity to observe the main stages of the process and, at the end, we'll taste Parma ham, with its smooth and unmistakable flavor.
To conclude our day of discovery, we'll arrive at a winery renowned for its white and red wines produced in the region's hills. We'll stroll through the vineyards and then enter the cellars, where experts will explain the production and bottling processes. We'll finish with a delicious tasting of three types of wine—white and red—in a toast to the best of Emilia-Romagna.
