Morning visit to the Accademia: Full immersion in Michelangelo's art to discover his most renowned work, "David," as well as other important works of art such as "The Prisoners," "San Matteo," and the "Palestrina Pietà." The young Michelangelo carved David from a massive block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the Renaissance model. He depicted a magnificent young nude man at the height of his physical vigor, whose intense expression of strength and courage, which stemmed from an absolute faith in God, rose as a symbol of the power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the moment of its greatest splendor.
In the afternoon, visit the Uffizi Gallery: You can't leave Florence without visiting one of the world's most famous art galleries. Here you can admire countless works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio, and many others. Among the Gallery's precious exhibition halls, the most renowned contains Botticelli's exquisite works, including the absolute masterpieces "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus." The latter painting, the museum's icon, represents the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of the Neoplatonic Renaissance aesthetic.
The guided tour ends at the Uffizi Terrace, where you can enjoy an incredible and exclusive view of the city's most important monuments. Once the guided tour is over, you can stay in the museum. Notes: The pre-booking service ensures you skip the long line (or the general admission line). Despite our reservations, during peak visitor periods, entry to the museums may be delayed due to: - Security checks at the entrance (metal detectors) - A maximum number of people allowed inside the Museum at any one time for security reasons.
Only water bottles not exceeding 0.5 liters are permitted inside the Accademia Gallery (authorities responsible for charging for bags are required to remove bottled or canned drinks);
The guided service may, exceptionally, be provided in two languages for operational reasons.
Drinking is not permitted in the exhibition rooms.
