Activity description
If you've always dreamed of getting close to the majestic glacial ice and experiencing its immensity up close, this is the adventure you've been waiting for.
The experience begins in El Calafate, where we'll depart for Los Glaciares National Park. From the moment you board the bus, you'll know you're about to experience something extraordinary. Upon arrival in Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, just 7 km from the famous walkways, we'll board to cross the serene Lago Rico. In just 20 minutes, we'll be in front of the impressive south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Here begins the unforgettable... We'll hike for 30 minutes with spectacular views of the glacier. With a bit of luck, we'll witness ice slides. Upon reaching the base of the glacier, the landscape is breathtaking: intense blues, dazzling whites, and ice shapes that defy the imagination.
Get ready to capture unique moments. There will be plenty of time to take photos, contemplate in silence, and connect with this natural wonder. A specialized guide will be with you at all times, sharing stories and secrets of the glacier. The total hike lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, following paths of sand, stone, and forest that seem straight out of a story, always with privileged views of the glacier.
But the adventure doesn't end there. From the boat, we'll appreciate every detail of the glacier's south wall up close, floating just meters from its majestic frozen formations.
Back at the port, we'll head toward the iconic walkways. For two hours, you'll have the freedom to explore and marvel at the panoramic views this strategic location offers. Have you ever imagined having lunch with Perito Moreno as a backdrop? Bring your food from El Calafate and enjoy a picnic with an incomparable view.
As you return to El Calafate, crossing the Patagonian steppe, you will feel like you are carrying a little piece of this magical glacier with you.
Perito Moreno awaits you! Let us be your hosts for this experience that will be etched in your memory forever.
