The only Brazilian city founded by the French, invaded by the Dutch and colonized by the Portuguese, it is clear that a lot of historical wealth was inherited in this city!
On this tour, we'll be guided on a journey back in time, learning about the history, myths, and legends that make up the historic center of São Luís.
We will walk through the streets, sidewalks, stairways, museums, markets and churches, being surprised by all the historical heritage that has been preserved in Maranhão.
Route: Depart from Dom Pedro II Square and begin a leisurely stroll through the Historic Center, visiting the main attractions covered in this itinerary. Final stop in the Praia Grande neighborhood.
Main attractions: Dom Pedro II Square, Lions Palace, Sé Cathedral, Benedito Leite Square, São Luís Building, Ribeirão Fountain, Historical and Artistic Museum, Arthur Azevedo Theater, João Lisboa Square, Largo do Carmo, Nauro Machado Square, Tulhas Market, Portugal Street and Maranhão House.

Please be aware that the tour may be cancelled or rescheduled in case of high tide or adverse weather conditions;
Departure from the Historic Center. For guests staying in the new part of the city (neighborhoods: São Francisco, Lagoa da Jansen, Ponta D'Areia, and Calhau), the transfer to the Historic Center is at the passenger's expense.
