Begin your experience with a time-honored tradition: the Changing of the Guard or the Changing of the Guard on Horseback, depending on the day and the schedule of the Royal Household Cavalry. Your guide will lead you to the best vantage points while explaining the history and ceremony behind these famous royal rituals, from the red tunics and bearskin hats to the mounted regiments of the king's cavalry.
Afterwards, stroll through St. James's Park, enjoying views of London's royal quarter as your guide shares stories about the British monarchy, military tradition, and life behind the palace gates.
Then it's time for your self-guided tour of Buckingham Palace, open to the public for just two months each summer. With skip-the-line entry and an official audio guide, explore the magnificent state rooms at your own pace. Admire the lavish decor, glittering chandeliers, and priceless furnishings—many of them gifts from heads of state around the world.
New for 2025, this experience includes access to The King's Tour Artists, an exhibition featuring over 70 works of art personally selected by His Majesty the King and displayed in the palace's ballroom.
This is your opportunity to witness the best of royal London—timeless traditions, exclusive access, and an unforgettable glimpse into life inside the monarchy. Notes: Please note that tour duration may vary from 2.5 hours to 4 hours depending on your entry time at Buckingham Palace.
