- City tour in João Pessoa
Let's explore João Pessoa, Brazil's third-oldest capital, founded in 1585. Considered one of the greenest cities in the world by the UN, it's a charming blend of tranquility, history, and nature. We'll enjoy one of the most beautiful capitals in the Northeast.
Our itinerary includes visits to the city's main landmarks, such as the Tea Pavilion, a beautiful monument located in Venâncio Neiva Square, and the Solon de Lucena Park Lagoon, João Pessoa's most famous landmark, with its imposing imperial palms and leafy trees. The lagoon's gardens maintain the original design by landscaper Burle Marx.
We will also visit the Historic Center and the São Francisco Cultural Center (entrance not included), a beautiful baroque complex that houses the Church of São Francisco, the Convent of Santo Antônio, the Museum of Sacred Art and several chapels, including the Capela Dourada.
The itinerary also includes João Pessoa's stunning coastline, with beaches boasting calm, green waters. Tambaú Beach is one of the busiest, and Cabo Branco Beach stands out as the geographic landmark that gives Paraíba the title of "place where the sun rises first": Ponta do Seixas, a clay cliff with preserved vegetation.
At the end of the day, weather permitting, we'll enjoy the sunset at Jacaré Beach, to the sound of Ravel's famous Bolero, ending a day of discoveries in one of the most welcoming and beautiful capitals in the Northeast.
