On the one hand, São José de Ribamar, 30 km from the capital and born of a true miracle, São José de Ribamar is a city that breathes Maranhão's religiosity. It is one of the cities that make up the Island of São Luís, being the third most populous in the State and its name is in honor of the patron saint of Maranhão. There is one of the most important sanctuaries in the North-Northeast. On the other, Raposa, with beautiful beaches, vast mangrove vegetation and typical cuisine based on seafood. Strong potential for cultural tourism where getting to know its community and appreciating its customs (fishing and bobbin lace crafts) becomes an attraction in itself.
