The adventure begins in 4x4 vehicles along the iconic Route 40, heading towards the majestic Santa Cruz River. Once there, after a brief technical briefing and equipped with state-of-the-art drysuits, we set off to paddle the calm waters that once inspired Darwin. Discover the magic of nature as you cruise the river. You'll be amazed by impressive geological formations and a rich Patagonian fauna, immersing you in a landscape that seems to have come from another era. After paddling 15 km downriver, we'll arrive at the cozy Estancia Río Bote, where a delicious lunch awaits us on the riverbanks, the perfect place to relax and share stories before returning to El Calafate. It's not just an excursion, it's a journey to the heart of Patagonia, an opportunity to connect with its history, its nature, and with the epic explorer Darwin. Notes: Minors under 16 years of age are not permitted to participate in this activity, without exception. Minors between 16 and 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, without exception. Activity not suitable for travelers with back problems, pregnant women, people in wheelchairs, people with heart problems or serious medical conditions. The activity is highly demanding, so passengers must be in moderate physical condition. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing (sweater, sweatshirt and windbreaker and/or waterproof jacket), sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves, sun hat or warm hat if it is very cold. Some hotels in the city are not included in our pickup itinerary. If this is the case, we will contact you to indicate the closest hotel to which you should go so we can pick you up for the tour.
