The Amsterdam Light Festival by boat, with live, local skipper commentary
Set sail from Amsterdam-North in a brand-new, 100% electric canal boat, and cruise from the IJ canal towards the glittering Amstel river. On the way, pass the NEMO Science Museum and the fully restored Maritime Museum, passing the famous Skinny Bridge and Artis zoo. Along the way, you'll see 20 beautiful works of light art, in and around the canals of Amsterdam. Your local skipper will give you commentary about the city of Amsterdam and the most impressive artworks. The best way to enjoy these artworks of light is from the water. At almost six kilometres long, the Amsterdam Light Festival route has been mapped out to let you see all the works of art along the canals and on the quay. The departure point is next to the A'dam Tower, Overhoeksplein. Take the free ferry behind Amsterdam Central Station, which departs every four minutes.
