The tour begins at your hotel and continues to Mirador Valle Carbajal, where you can admire the peat bogs and enjoy stunning views of the mountain range and glaciers. We'll make a technical stop at a winter resort. Returning to Route 3, the journey continues, reaching the Andes Mountains, crossing the Garibaldi Pass, the southernmost and terminal portion of the extensive Andes Mountains. Around mid-morning, you will arrive at Puesto La Carmen: you will have a hot drink and walk along the shore of Lake Fagnano, also called by the Ona "The Rest of the Horizon", because the imaginary horizon line formed by the mountain range is interrupted by the lake and then continues on the other side. Around noon, you'll reach the Garibaldi Pass viewpoint to observe Hidden Lake from above. Its name comes from its location in a deep valley nestled among the mountains. We will return to the winter resort for lunch and then head back to the city of Ushuaia. Notes: In winter, Lake Fagnano is replaced by a stop at Valles Invernales (a ski resort at the base of Cerro Castor). Depending on availability and weather conditions, the tour may alternate between the following winter resorts: Tierra Mayor, Las Cotorras, and Llanos del Castor. Visiting Tierra Mayor is a priority. Some hotels in the city are not included in our pickup itinerary. If so, we will contact you to indicate the closest hotel where we can pick you up for the tour. You will need to wait for your guide in the lobby of the indicated hotel. Pickup or drop-off at the port cannot be scheduled.
