- Half-Day Guided Tour: Palace of Knossos and Archaeological Museum

The tour begins with a short 5 km drive to the legendary Palace of Knossos, the heart of Minoan civilization. Built between 1700 and 1400 BC, Knossos boasts advanced architecture, with up to 5 stories, 1,300 rooms, warehouses, and a theater. Excavated by Sir Arthur Evans in the early 1900s, the site revives the myths of King Minos and the Minotaur, as well as the daily life of Minoan culture, dating back to 7000 BC.
Around 11:30 AM, I return to the city to visit the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, the second largest in Greece. Explore artifacts dating from 6000 BC to the height of the Minoan era, including treasures from the palaces of Knossos, Phaistos, Malia, and Zakros, as well as sacred objects, household utensils, and impressive frescoes.
The tour ends around 1:30 PM, with return to the Cretan Spiti Travel terminal.
Encontro com o guia no terminal da Cretan Spiti Travel, em frente ao Museu Arqueológico de Heraklion, em frente à Hari’s Creperie, às 08:30.
