- Lake Titicaca Trip, Uros & Taquile Floating Islands
Titicaca, or Pedra do Puma in Aymara, is one of the largest lakes in South America.
Located on the border between two countries, the first part of our experience focuses on the Peruvian part of the lake, on one of the floating islands, Uros.
Uros, also known as "El Pueblo del Lago". These islands are rafts built with a layer of reeds called Totora, a species of plant used in medicine, food and construction.
In the second part, we will visit the island of Tequile.
In Tequile, communities of skilled and kind artisans welcome tourists with open arms, showing off their traditions, customs and regional clothing.
Lunch will also be served there, already included in the itinerary.
