In the morning, we'll explore the city's main streets, squares, and avenues. We'll begin with a panoramic tour of the Miraflores neighborhood, starting at Parque del Amor, where we'll admire the famous sculpture "El Beso" by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín and enjoy an excellent view of Lima Bay. We'll then continue our tour of the neighborhood with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of Lima's culture. Next, we'll head to the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll pass by the Catholic shrines of the Lord of Miracles and Saint Rose of Lima, patron saint of the Americas. We'll descend to the Santa Rosa Pass, where we'll begin our walking tour of downtown Lima, admiring the colonial houses and balconies from the Viceroyal era. We'll enter the Minor Basilica and the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known as the Convent of Santo Domingo. These corridors were traversed by Peruvian saints San Martín de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima in the 17th century, and where their remains still rest. The main courtyard, the library, and the infirmary where San Martín de Porres spent much of his life are its main attractions. We'll continue our walk to Lima's Plaza Mayor, where we'll find the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. We'll visit Lima Cathedral and the crypt of conquistador Francisco Pizarro. Indulge in a delicious lunch at Casa Tambo. Nestled in the heart of the city, Casa Tambo offers a feast for the senses with its exquisite Peruvian cuisine. Savor traditional flavors meticulously crafted with locally sourced ingredients while soaking up the charming ambiance of this historic venue. In the afternoon, visit the Larco Museum, a place where we'll gain a clear understanding of the different cultures that existed in Ancient Peru. Expect to be amazed by the gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics that are part of the collection, which will introduce us to the worldview of ancient Peru. The museum's warehouse will be open during our visit so we can appreciate the artistic expressions reflected in its ceramics. Our next stop will be an old pisco bar in the Pueblo Libre district.
