Activity description
See small, large, furry, and creepy animals from around the world in the heart of London at London Zoo! London Zoo in Regent's Park houses a collection of 755 animal species in beautifully landscaped gardens. Meet rats, bats, spiders, and owls, and take on a mysterious sensory box challenge in the Black Widow's Lair. Browse the Victorian Grim Curiosity Shop to see some spooky and eccentric objects from historical collections—there's even a surprise reptile guest! You can also visit the dark Owl Emporium to see the zoo's magnificent owls demonstrate their nocturnal skills, and get creative in the Bat Cave activity zone, where you can make treats for the zoo's short-tailed bats.
Land of the Lions
London Zoo's most breathtaking experience, Lionland, offers a stunning 'windowless view' of the big cat enclosure. Enter the amphitheater-style Temple of the Lions and peer into the enclosure to see the big cats just meters away, separated only by very thin wires—a truly thrilling experience.
Tiger Territory
Come face-to-face with terrifying tigers through floor-to-ceiling glass windows! Tiger Territory is home to critically endangered Sumatran tigers, immersing visitors in the tiger's lush habitat!
Kingdom of the Gorillas
Get an up-close look at the zoo's western lowland gorillas in an environment that mimics their African rainforest! Interactive exhibits will teach you about gorillas while you admire them!
Penguin Beach
Visit the penguins and watch them waddle around their enclosure before diving into the clear water! Watch the penguins dart through the water from the underwater viewing bubble. You'll soon discover exactly why this attraction is called "Penguin Beach"!
Reptile House
If you're a Harry Potter fan, a visit to the Reptile House is a must! You'll remember the famous scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone involving Harry and a talking Burmese python—it was filmed in the Reptile House! You'll also find Komodo dragons, turtles, and extremely venomous snakes here.
Life in the Rainforest
Come face-to-face with various rainforest dwellers, including monkeys, sloths, and armadillos, in this indoor exhibit! Enter the nightlife area: the lights will dim, and you'll discover bats, rats, and other nocturnal wonders.
Children's zoo
Younger children will love the Children's Zoo: they can visit the Touch Zone and pet goats, sheep, and chickens, as well as enjoy the educational play areas.
Meet the monkeys
Stroll through this open-air enclosure that opens up to the London sky. The enclosure is home to a breeding group of black-crowned squirrel monkeys and was designed to recreate the Bolivian rainforests as closely as possible. Watch out for squirrel monkeys scurrying between the branches!
