- Snow and Fire Experience – with Snowmobile and Sled
If you've ever dreamed of being in a snowy forest at night and experiencing a unique nocturnal sensory experience, where all your senses are heightened by the ambiance and silence of the night, then this is your chance. Sight, touch, and hearing will be the protagonists of this experience.
To experience this grand adventure in this remote corner of the world, we depart from the hotel and head to the winter center located in the valley, 21 km from downtown Ushuaia. Upon arrival, our guides will explain the activities, depending on the option chosen:
Snowshoe and dog sled options
Our guides will help us put on our snowshoes so we can safely walk and begin a beautiful and peaceful hike of approximately 30 minutes, crossing the valley in the dead of the winter night. A magical trail leads us through the forest formed by subantarctic trees: lengas, ñires, and coihues.
We'll return to the dome, where the chef awaits us with stew, mulled wine, and soft drinks. Dinner will be enlivened by live guitar music. After this comforting meal and sharing a unique experience with a group of adventurers like ourselves, we'll embark on another exciting activity: a sleigh ride pulled by loyal, noble, and intelligent Huskies, who will take us through snowy trails in the Tierra Mayor Valley.
We will return to the city of Ushuaia with the feeling of having experienced something truly different.
Dinner around the campfire: skewers, campfire stew, mulled wine, wines and the specialty of the night: “the Woodcutter’s coffee”.
Snowmobile and dog sled options
Our guides will give us instructions and safety instructions on how to use the snowmobiles before we begin this grand adventure. The snowmobiles are two-seaters (for two people). We'll begin the tour under the stars and moonlight—if we're lucky enough to have a clear sky—on a 4-km circuit through valleys and ancient peat bogs.
Afterwards, we'll return to the dome, where the chef awaits us with stew, mulled wine, and soft drinks. Dinner will be enlivened by live guitar music. After this comforting meal and sharing a unique experience with other adventurers, we'll embark on another exciting activity: a husky sled ride, which will take us through the snowy trails of the Tierra Mayor Valley.
We will return to the city of Ushuaia having experienced something truly special.
