On this tour, you'll visit the locations where the famous movie "The Godfather" was filmed—the villages of Savoca and Forza d'Agrò—so you can relive some scenes from the movie. You'll finish the tour with a visit to beautiful Taormina.

The tour will begin with a visit to Savoca, one of Sicily's most picturesque medieval villages, included in the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy since 2008. This charming art city has been chosen as the setting for several major films, including "The Godfather," directed by Francis Ford Coppola. You'll begin at one of Savoca's most important landmarks, Bar Vitelli, and then continue with a stroll through the town's alleys, immersed in an evocative landscape. You'll admire the ruins of an ancient synagogue, a beautiful biforated window in pure 15th-century style, and reach the historic center of the town, which, according to some historians, has its roots in Roman times. You'll visit the Church of San Nicolò, built in the 13th century and remodeled in the 18th century, a location where some well-known scenes from the renowned film were filmed.

You'll continue on to Forza D'Agrò, nestled in the Agrò Valley. During the journey, you'll enjoy stunning views and admire the evident traces of intense and ancient agricultural activity, which the valley once hosted thanks to its terraces. You'll also enjoy a beautiful panorama overlooking the Ionian coast. Here, you'll make a short stop to visit the 15th-century Cathedral of Maria S.
