- Tour of the Archaeological and Natural Beauties of Central-Southern Crete (Gortyna, Phaistos, Matala, Zaros)

Meet your guide at the Cretan Spiti Travel terminal, opposite the entrance to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, across the street from Creperia Hari, at 8:30 am. Then, depart for Gortyna, the ancient Roman capital of Crete and Cyrenaica, first inhabited around 3200 BC.
After visiting Gortyna, we continued through the Messara Valley to the archaeological site of Phaistos and its palace, the most important center of the Minoan civilization and the richest and most powerful city in southern Crete.
After visiting Festo, we continue to Matala, where you will have free time to swim in the crystal-clear waters and the option of having lunch.
Finally, we arrived in Zaros, a charming and well-preserved village, famous for its spring water—now bottled and sold throughout Greece—and considered an excellent starting point for nature walks. Zaros is also home to beautiful Byzantine monasteries and is known for its delicious trout raised on local farms, served in the town's taverns and on the shores of the emerald-green Lake Votomos, which we will visit soon.
In the late afternoon, at 5 PM, return to the Cretan Spiti Travel terminal.
Encontro com o guia no terminal da Cretan Spiti Travel, em frente à entrada do Museu Arqueológico de Heraklion, em frente à Hari’s Creperie, às 08:30.
