São Luís is the only Brazilian city founded by the French, on September 8, 1612, and named after Louis IX, patron saint of France, and the king at the time, Louis XIII.

There's a wealth of French heritage there, and on this tour we'll also have a picnic. Did you know this practice originated in France? Yes, Parisians began by having small meals outdoors as a way to hold social and even romantic gatherings in places where they could enjoy beautiful scenery, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Route: Departure from the hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle heading straight to the Historic Center and visit the main attractions that tell about the history of São Luís.

At the end of the visit, we will head to Espigão Costeiro, a perfect setting for a special picnic and a beautiful sunset.

Main attractions: Ceprama (Maranhão Handicraft Center), Arthur Azevedo Theater, João Lisboa Square, Largo do Carmo, Nauro Machado Square, Crioula Drum House and Coastal Pier.
