Explore the vast Salar de Uyuni, discover remote deserts and colorful lagoons, and witness the mesmerizing beauty of the Andean landscapes. This extensive trip ensures plenty of time to immerse yourself in Bolivia's diverse and captivating landscapes.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Bus trip from Puno to Copacabana and excursion to Isla del Sol.
Transfer from the hotel in Puno to the bus station.
Bus trip from Puno to Copacabana (7:00 AM to 12:00 PM). This trip takes about 5 hours and runs along Lake Titicaca, offering stunning views of the Cordillera Real.
After lunch, we will begin the trip to Isla del Sol, approximately an hour and a half, crossing Lake Titicaca, we will visit the archaeological remains of 'Pilkokaina'.
The Temple of the Inca is a religious center, then a short walk along the Yumani stairs built by our ancestors until we reach the Fountain of Youth, where people purify themselves by drinking some of this sacred water. This spring is believed to be the source of eternal youth. We will also enjoy the beauty of this beautiful Inca garden. Finally, we will return to Copacabana.
Transfer from Copacabana terminal to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Copacabana.
Day 2: Copacabana - La Paz
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free morning.
Transfer from hotel to bus terminal.
Bus trip from Copacabana to La Paz (from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
Overnight in La Paz.
Day 3: La Paz, Moon Valley, Uyuni
Breakfast at the hotel.
City tour and Moon Valley in La Paz (4 hours).
On this tour, we'll explore this wonderful city, appreciating its cultural, historical, architectural, and natural richness. We'll visit Murillo Square, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Church of San Francisco, the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of Tiawanaku, the Quilli Quilli viewpoint, the Oro or Costumbrista Museum, and the witches' market where locals buy the products needed for ritual ceremonies such as Ch'alla and offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth). After our visit to the urban center, we'll visit the Valley of the Moon, passing through the residential neighborhoods of the southern part of the city.
You'll have free time until your transfer to the hotel. Late in the afternoon, the hotel will pick you up and transfer you to the bus station for your journey to Uyuni.

20:30 - Travel by tourist bus from La Paz to Uyuni (10 hour trip).
Overnight stay on the bus.
Day 4: Tour of Salar de Uyuni.
7:00 am, arrival in Uyuni.
Breakfast in Uyuni.
11:00 am, tour begins. Departure for our trip to the largest salt desert, by mobility (Land Cruiser - 4x4).
Visit the train graveyard. On the way, we'll visit the following tourist attractions: Train Graveyard - Where you can see very old trains and locomotives from 1899. Most of the trains ran with wagons loaded with minerals, but this was short-lived. These trains were part of an industrial past, but today they have become a tourist destination.
Visit to the town of Colchani. The town of Colchani - Located on the banks of the Great Salt Flat, it is the main entrance to the salt desert, where we will observe the artisanal activity of salt extraction. The villagers will show us the process of drying, grinding, and bagging the salt ready for consumption.
Visit to the Salt Hotel. Salt Hotel - Located in the heart of the Salar, the hotel is built with salt blocks, both inside and out, as well as its walls, floors, beds, tables, and chairs.
Incahuasi Island Tour. Incahuasi Island (Fish Island) - Located in the middle of the salt flat, Incahuasi Island, known as 'The Fish Island,' is populated by numerous giant cacti reaching over 10 meters in height. From the top, you can admire the wonderful landscape of the Salar.
After our visit to the island, we will have lunch.
In the afternoon, return to Uyuni and have free time until the bus departs for La Paz. Bus trip to La Paz (10 hours). Overnight stay on the bus.
Day 5: Arrival in La Paz.
Transfer from La Paz bus terminal to La Paz airport.
