Located in Ciutadella Park, in the heart of the city's historic center, Barcelona Zoo's main objective is to conserve biodiversity and its natural habitats.
It houses indigenous and exotic species, such as the otter and the dorcas gazelle, many of which are endangered, and offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe animals from all zoological groups. A visit to Barcelona Zoo also includes modernist treasures, such as the fountain sculpture Dama del Paraigua (1885), a work by Joan Roig i Solé, one of Barcelona's most delicate and captivating symbols.
The Zoo's facilities are ideal for an unforgettable family day out. You can also enjoy a wide range of services with everything you need for a family day out: restaurants, bars, shops, and a picnic area. Notes: All facilities at the Zoo are adapted for people with reduced mobility.

From January 1st to March 28th, from 10 am to 5 pm.
From March 29th to May 15th, from 10 am to 6 pm.
From May 16th to September 13th, from 10 am to 7 pm.
From September 14th to October 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm.
From October 25th to December 31st, from 10 am to 5 pm.
December 25th open only until 2 pm.
