Don't miss one of the city's most interesting modern and contemporary art museums. Enjoy Catalan art through the pictorial and sculptural work of Antoni Tàpies.
Tàpies's early works were influenced by artists such as Paul Klee and Joan Miró. He was quickly drawn to the expressiveness of solid materials, an interest that translated into canvases with intense textures and powerful communicative possibilities. Tàpies's iconic language resulted in the creation of a diverse and artistic body of work admired worldwide.
The Foundation offers visitors the opportunity to explore its collection, as well as enjoy temporary exhibitions by other artists. These months and through early 2020, there will be two exhibitions by the main artist, 'Sentidas Certitudes' and 'Theater,' as well as the exhibition 'Errata' by Ariella Aïsha Azoulay.
The Foundation's industrial-modernist building is also considered a work of art. It was built in the late 19th century by architect Lluís Domànech i Montaner, a pioneer of modernist architecture. Notes: SCHEDULES
