- Olympic Boulevard, Museum of Tomorrow and Historic Rio

We will walk through downtown Rio, starting at Cais do Valongo, which was recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, we will learn about the strong African influence in the history of Brazil. Next, we will head to Mural do Kobra, one of the largest graffiti murals in the world, created by artist Eduardo Kobra, which depicts five ethnic groups on a colorful, geometric background.
We will walk along the Olympic Boulevard to the Museum of Tomorrow, a modern and innovative space dedicated to exploring the possibilities for the future of the planet and humanity. The architecture of the museum is impressive and worth a visit. Afterwards, we will travel back in time to the Monastery of São Bento, with its simple façade and interior rich in gold ornaments, representing the Baroque period.
Next, we will see the Rio 2016 Olympic Cauldron, a kinetic structure created by artist Anthony Howe that reminds us of the Olympic Games. We will pass by Praça XV, which has great historical importance, as it hosted significant events for the Brazilian empire. Finally, we will end our tour at Confeitaria Colombo, one of the most traditional cafés in Rio, famous for its art nouveau decor and its delicious snack options, such as chicken coxinha, and desserts, such as brigadeiro.
