- Cerro Catedral without climbing from Bariloche
Leaving the hotel, we headed towards Morro Catedral, the first ski resort in South America and currently one of the most important in the world. It is the venue for some of the most important international ski competitions. The name of the hill comes from the similarity of its peaks to the towers of a medieval cathedral. The resort has 1,200 hectares of ski slopes and 120 km of trails, offering incredible panoramic views of the Andean and lake regions.
This ski resort is open all year round: in winter, it’s perfect for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and enjoying the snow, and in summer, it offers trekking, cycling and beautiful landscapes to explore. After a day of activities at the resort, we returned to the city, ending a day full of fun and adventure.
To reach the summit, we can opt for the Cable Car, a means of transport similar to a cable car, but with capacity for more than 10 people. It runs 3,200 meters up the mountain, taking passengers from the base to the top, where there is a viewpoint and the Punta Nevada y El Cabo Cafeteria.
