- Climb the Cerro Otto cable car from Bariloche
Just 5 kilometers from the center of Bariloche is the Lower Station of the legendary Cerro Otto Cable Car. An attractive means of elevation consisting of 42 panoramic gondolas with capacity for 4 passengers that travel a distance of 2,100 meters up the hill. At the top, 1,405 meters above sea level, is the famous rotating confectionery, unique in the country. With a glass structure around its entire circumference, it rotates in a 360° radius and, in 20 minutes, allows you to observe the entire surrounding landscape while enjoying a rich hot chocolate accompanied by a variety of regional delicacies. To the north you can see the city of Bariloche and Lake Nahuel Huapi. To the east you can see the Leones and Villegas hills and part of the Patagonian steppe. To the south you can see Lake Gutiérrez and other nearby hills; and to the west are Cerro Catedral, Lake Moreno and the Andes Mountains. At the top of the hill you can also visit an art gallery that permanently displays replicas of Michelangelo Buonarroti's three most important works: David, La Piedad and Moisés.
