ITINERARY
Departure from Arequipa to Chivay.
We'll arrive in the village of Chivay to enjoy a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, we'll transfer to Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, located 30 minutes away, the observation point for the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. From here, we'll spend an average of 45 minutes observing the beauty of the Colca Canyon. We'll take an optional short hike of approximately 30 minutes to further appreciate the terraces of the Colca Canyon.
We will also visit different viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the Valley and the village of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste local drinks such as Colca Sour, made with local products.
Before lunch, we'll enjoy a relaxing dip in the Yanque Hot Springs, whose thermal-medicinal waters range in temperature from 30°C to 34°C in the pools.
Lunch in Chivay.
We begin our journey back to Arequipa and along the way we will make a stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest point on the road (4900 masl) from where we can appreciate a large part of the western mountain range.
Afterwards, we will also make a brief stop at the Bofedales de Toccra Pampa, where we will observe a large number of alpacas grazing freely in the area.
Skirting the snow-capped Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas, we will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where vicuñas live freely.
We will arrive at the city of Arequipa. Notes: Reservations can be made up to the day before departure.
