ITINERARY
Day 1: ITINERARY - DAY ONE
Pick up at your respective hotels, we leave from 3:00 to 3:30 in the morning.
We will make a stop at the volcano viewpoint, which is also the highest point of the route (4,800 masl) from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range.
We will arrive in Chivay at approximately 6:00 am, where we will have breakfast for half an hour.
From there, we head towards Cruz del Condor, where we will enjoy the majestic flight of the condors for approximately an hour.
We set off towards Cabanaconde, located at 3,200 meters above sea level, where we prepare for our hike through the Pampa San Miguel. We then head towards San Juan de Chuccho, where we'll cross a suspension bridge and enjoy its wonderful scenery. Our hike will last approximately 3 to 4 hours.
We'll arrive at the village, have lunch, and have the afternoon free. In the evening, we'll have dinner and spend the night in the bungalows.
Day 2: ITINERARY - DAY TWO
The next day we had breakfast and continued our walk passing through the villages of Cosñirhua and Malata to reach the Sangalle Oasis after a 2-hour walk.
We will have lunch to replenish our energy.
We'll have the afternoon free and the pools at 20° to relax after our walk.
Dinner and then spend the night in the small bungalows.
Day 3: ITINERARY - THIRD DAY
Having agreed with the guide in advance, we got up at 5am to begin our walk to Cabanaconde, about 3 hours.
There, we'll have breakfast and head toward Chivay, before passing through the villages of Pinchollo and Maca for photo opportunities. We'll arrive in Chivay and head to the La Calera thermal baths.
Lunch.
We depart for Arequipa where we will make stops at Mirador los Volcanes and Pampa Cañahuas, where we will observe one of the main South American camelids, the vicuña.
We will arrive in Arequipa at approximately 5:30 pm. We will drop you off near Plaza de Armas (or PUNO, if you chose a transfer to PUNO). Notes: Not available from December to April due to low season.
Reservations can be made up to the day before departure. At least two passengers are required for departure.
