- Humahuaca Tour from Jujuy (1 day)
We will travel to the city of Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on the outskirts of the province of Jujuy, just a few kilometers from the border with Bolivia.
This excursion will allow us to appreciate the most impressive colors of northern Argentina, its culture, its unique people and its people.
We will leave the city of Jujuy, via National Route 9, and further on we will enter the great Quebrada de Humahuaca, famous for its imposing landscapes and picturesque villages such as:
Volcano
Purmamarca, where the majestic Hill of the 7 Colors is located
Tilcara
Humahuaca, the largest city in the Uquía ravine, a small town where the Church of San Francisco de Paula is located, dating from the 17th century, which houses ancient paintings of the Archangel Angels, originating from Cusco, Peru, painted at the time of the Huacalera colonization, where we cross the imaginary line of the Tropic of Capricorn.
And finally, La Paleta del Pintor, in Maimará
In Humahuaca, we'll make our longest stop, where you can enjoy lunch of typical regional dishes, especially llama meat, and explore the city, where culture fills the streets. Carnival is a major theme in the region, and this place is the epicenter of the celebration.
After lunch, we will begin our journey back, making alternate stops along the way.
Along the way, there are stops to walk and take photos!
