- Puerto Blest Lake and Cantaros Waterfall
Departing from Puerto Pañuelo, located on the Llao Llao peninsula, this tour offers the opportunity to explore the Blest Arm and its surroundings. The first stop is Sentinel Island, where the remains of Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno are located, a key figure in the creation of Argentina's National Parks and honored with the naming of the famous Perito Moreno Glacier.
Continuing on, we arrive at Puerto Cántaros, from where we set off on a trail with steps that crosses the lush Valdivian Jungle. This trail leads to Lake Los Cántaros, which gives rise to the imposing waterfall of the same name. Along the way, you can admire the impressive presence of an ancient larch tree that is over 1,500 years old. Larches are the tallest native trees in the Southern Cone of America, and the viewpoints along the trail offer spectacular views of the waterfalls and cascades that slide down the rock formations.
After this visit, we crossed the lake to the opposite shore and disembarked at Puerto Blest, a place that has enchanted tourists from all over the world for decades. Here, we explored its bay and visited the shores of Lake Frías, whose unique green waters originate from an ancient glacier on Cerro Tronador, an impressive natural border between Argentina and Chile.
