- Tour of the Cejar Lagoons
This tour immerses you in the surreal landscapes and salty waters of the Atacama Desert, exploring some of the region's most iconic lagoons.
We started the day at the stunning Cejar Lagoon, famous for its high salt concentration, which allows visitors to float naturally in its crystal-clear waters. Surrounded by white salt flats and with the volcanoes of the Andes Mountains in the background, the landscape seems otherworldly. It's a perfect place to relax, enjoy the view, and feel the weightlessness of your body being supported by the water.
We then continued on to Laguna Piedra, a small lagoon where swimming is permitted, providing a refreshing experience amidst the vastness of the desert. The sensation of floating in this arid landscape, under the clear blue Atacama sky, is simply unforgettable.
Next, we visited the charming Tebenquinche Lagoon, where swimming is prohibited, but the visual spectacle is worth it. Its calm, shallow waters form a true natural mirror, reflecting the sky and surrounding mountains. It's one of the best places in the region to watch the sunset, when the colors of the sky blend with those of the water, creating a magical and memorable scene.
Finally, we discovered the enigmatic Ojos del Salar, two small circular pools of freshwater amidst the vast salt flats. The symmetrical formation and the contrast with the surrounding white soil make the place impressive. Some enjoy cooling off there, while others simply contemplate the mystery of these unique natural formations.
This tour offers a perfect combination of natural beauty, sensory experiences, and moments of contemplation, revealing one of the most impressive sides of the Atacama.

The bath is in Laguna Piedras, which is next to Laguna Cejar.
The water is very cold, they say it's because of the salt and that's why you have to stay there for about 20 minutes.
