This tour takes visitors on one of the most picturesque and least explored routes in the Atacama Desert, revealing high-altitude landscapes marked by salt flats, colorful lagoons, imposing rock formations, and nearly untouched nature.

The adventure begins with a stop at the Licancabur Viewpoint, which offers a privileged view of the Licancabur volcano, one of the region's most iconic mountains. At over 5,900 meters above sea level, its imposing presence dominates the landscape and marks the natural border between Chile and Bolivia. It's a stunning setting both for its beauty and for the sheer magnitude of the surrounding desert.

Next, we head to the beautiful Laguna Diamante, a hidden gem high in the altiplano. Its calm waters reflect the sky and surrounding mountains, creating a mirrored effect of great visual impact. The tranquility of the place and the purity of the landscape make this stop a moment of profound contemplation.

We head towards the vast and almost surreal Salar de Quisquiro, where the white salt contrasts with the earthy tones of the mountains and the intense blue of the sky. It's one of the least visited salt flats in the region, offering a more peaceful and exclusive experience.

Next, we passed the Salar de Aguas Calientes, also known for its vibrantly colored waters and photogenic landscape. The name refers to the region's hot springs, and the contrast between the wetlands and the surrounding arid terrain is enchanting.

Another highlight is the Salar de Pujsa, a true high-altitude wildlife refuge. Flamingos and vicuñas are frequently seen on the shores of the lagoon that forms between the salt flats, reinforcing the ecological richness of the Chilean altiplano.

We ended the tour with a visit to the enigmatic Monjes de la Pacana, enormous rock formations sculpted by the action of wind and time. They stand out in the vastness of the desert, resembling human figures or monoliths, which earned them the name "monks." The scenery is dramatic and mysterious—ideal for photos and admiring the power of nature in its rawest form.
