TourColca Canyon Tour

The Colca Valley is Arequipa's biggest tourist attraction, after Machu Picchu. Its rugged geography is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, as well as Andean villages with many traditions.

We will start the excursion along the Yura Highway to the town of Chivay, where we will have time for breakfast. We will continue our journey towards the Condor Cross, where we will enjoy one of the deepest canyons in the world and the flight of the condor.

On the way back, we will enjoy the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, a beautiful landscape of the valley with its impressive pre-Inca terraces. We will pass through different towns (Pincollo, Maca and Yanque) that have beautiful colonial churches. We will go to the thermal baths where we will have time to relax.

Afterwards, we will have lunch in Chivay and return to Arequipa. On the way back, we will stop at the Patapampa viewpoint (highest point 4,910 meters above sea level) where we can admire the volcanoes (Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca). Continuing the tour, we will pass through the Tocra swamps where we will appreciate the diversity of wild birds, herds of alpacas, llamas and the beautiful South American camelids that have some of the finest fiber in the world.

We will return to Arequipa around 5pm.
