TourTrip to the Colca Canyon

A wonderful day trip where you can explore one of the deepest canyons in the world, as well as have the opportunity to see one of the largest birds in the world, the condor.

YANQUE – CRUZ DEL CONDOR – CHIVAY – CHACAPI

We'll start by picking you up from your accommodation and departing from Arequipa towards the city of Chivay, a three-hour drive. We'll arrive in Yanque where we'll have breakfast. From here, more invigorated by the early morning hours and...
After the long journey, we will continue our trip to Cruz del Cóndor, a nesting site for these birds that can measure up to 3 meters with their wings open. We will be able to walk along the viewpoint and observe them in flight. We will continue by vehicle through Choquetico, Maca, and Antahuilque, a viewpoint from where we can appreciate the Colca Valley in all its splendor and the pre-Inca terraces that are still used today for the cultivation of grains and other crops.

Continuing our tour, we will arrive at the Chacapi hot springs to relax for an hour. Afterwards, we will return to Chivay, where we will stop for lunch at a tourist restaurant. Following this, we will board our vehicle to begin the return trip to Arequipa, but not before making several stops at the Mirador de los Volcanes (Volcano Viewpoint), located 4,800 meters above sea level, offering privileged views of the volcanoes surrounding the area. Similarly, we will stop at the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, a wetland area where you can see vicuñas and alpacas. After that, we will not stop until we reach the center of Arequipa, where our tour ends.
