We will take an unforgettable trip to Santa Fe de Antioquia, located just two hours from Medellín, in a region with a mild and pleasant climate. During the journey, we will appreciate the stunning landscapes of the Andes Mountains in western Antioquia and cross the longest tunnel in Latin America.
Upon arriving in the city—founded in 1541 on the banks of the Cauca River and the first capital of the Antioquia department in 1584—we will be enchanted by its rich colonial heritage. We will stroll through its cobblestone streets, surrounded by centuries-old churches, charming squares, and historic palaces, recognized as a Cultural Heritage site of Colombia.
We will visit the iconic Puente del Occidente, one of the oldest and longest suspension bridges in Latin America, which majestically spans the Cauca River.
We will also have the opportunity to learn about the traditional technique of gold filigree with a local goldsmith, as well as sample tropical and exotic fruits at the city's central market. To conclude our tour, we will enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch and soak up the warmth of the countryside on a day full of culture, history, and beautiful landscapes.
