TourGreat Tower of Mykonos

A two-part experience through wonderful Mykonos! The tour starts at 10:30am, we will have a break at 3:30pm and continues at 6pm.

As the name suggests, this tour will show us a vast and different view of the Island because we will transcend the cosmopolitan city of Mykonos visited by so many for a truly traditional and authentic experience of island life.

We will be picked up from our meeting point and start at 10:30am.

Our first stop will be at the picturesque port of Saint Ioannis, an area named after the small church dedicated to Saint John (which is read as Ioannis in Greek), who was an important historical figure near the harbor where local fishermen sail.

We will continue to the famous Ornos beach to take photos and then we will have a panoramic view of the Mykonos airport runway on our way to the village Ano Mera, where we will pass through a completely different scenery, one of the most typically rural spots on the inhabited island. by the natives.

From this point of the island and its lifestyle, we will continue to the center of the Village of Ano Mera to visit the monastery of Panagia Tourlianis and we will be guided through its chambers. From here, we will arrive at the traditional Mykonian Spiti farm, where we will be guided by our escort.

A light snack is offered for anyone interested in the farm's local produce, which consists of bread, tomatoes, kopanisti, cucumbers and black olives, along with traditional raki.

We will head towards one of the most distant and beautiful beaches in Mykonos, called “Kalo Livadi”, “Kalafati” and “Aghia Anna” for some photos and the panoramic view of Mykonos town.

After the photo break, we will visit the Mykonian farm to enjoy a homemade lunch and experience the traditional Greek way of life, agriculture and the Greek art of cooking.

Our host, Teta, will invite us with open arms to his beautiful Mykonian farm and create charming and intimate afternoons that will make our visit to the “Island of the Winds” the highlight of our trip.

Shortly after finishing our traditional lunch, we will be dropped back at the hotel for a two-hour rest, before heading back to our 6pm adventure in Mykonos Town (we will also have the option to continue to the farm during the break), where our escort will accompany us and share their knowledge and stories of the place.

During the walk, we will reach the famous Matogianni area, where we will find clothing and footwear stores from famous brands and famous attractions such as Three Wells (Tria Pigadia), Manto Mavrogeneus' mother's house and the maritime museum.

Crossing the narrow path of the mills, through the castle of Chora and the area of ​​Scapa where “Little Venice” is located, which is famous for its picturesque two-story medieval houses (we will have a 15-minute break to admire the place), we will be able to appreciate the elaborate church of “Panagia Paraportiani”, one of the most famous architectural structures in Greece, and the Folklore Museum.
