ITINERARY
We will start our itinerary for the day by picking you up from your hotel/accommodation at exactly 7:30 am to catch the early ferry.
The V&A waterfront is one of Cape Town's most popular areas. This is where you catch the ferry to Robben Island, which is 11 km from the mainland and a 40-45-minute ferry ride from the island.
Robben Island is located in Table Bay. Mandela served 18 of his 27 years on the island, which became synonymous with the struggle. You'll disembark at Murray's Bay Harbor, located on the island's east coast, and take a short walk to the buses that will take you to all the island's historical sites.
From Robben Island, you'll return to the V and A waterfront, situated on the edge of the city's bustling harbor, where you'll have lunch and stroll through the mall, which offers a unique array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options.
The Diamond Works factory tour offers you the opportunity to visit the diamond and jewelry cutting workshop. A unique experience, the diamond factory tour will allow you to discover the art of cutting and polishing stones, whether diamonds or tanzanites, while sipping a glass of South African champagne called MCC (Method Cap Classic) and watching the cutters in action. In the jewelry workshop, you can create a piece of your own design while enjoying bottomless bubbles and chocolate truffles; the gemstones used vary from session to session.
History of Islamic culture and Cape Town's history dating back 360 years, and see what the locals have to offer, also known for their famous rainbow-colored houses and cobblestone streets, a hub of Cape Malay cuisine and home to descendants of slavery.
