TourCity Tour in El Calafate

Let's start our tour with a fun walk through the city, passing through the most traditional places. We begin with a visit to Punta Walichu, an archaeological site, located 8 km away. In this city, we will be able to see the remains of the first men who walked these lands. A walk along the shore and caves allows you to observe (originals and reproductions) cave paintings and an exceptional view over Lake Argentino and the Andes. The circuit also passes through the main streets of the old town, showing the first typical pioneer buildings and current buildings of the civic center. The guide will take you back in time and discover the history of the first settlers seeing the flora, fauna and other interesting details that this small tourist village has. You will take a tour of Paseo Costero and Redonda Bay, just a few meters from the shore of Lake Argentino, where you can observe the abundant local bird life. As a last stop at the Historical Interpretation Center you will observe, through a self-guided tour, the events of greatest historical importance from the Ice Age to the present. Take part in the history of the place, contemplating the city of Calafate, on the banks of the lake.
